Drink it, Then Sink it
Boone High School in Orange County is a little greener this year thanks to some help from the Dairy Council of Florida. The high school’s environmental club joined the Council in February to kick off the “Drink It then Sink It” recycling program. Students received recycling buttons and entered a drawing to win cool prizes.
The Orange County School District participates in the New Look of School Milk by serving milk to students in plastic, single-serve, re-sealable packaging. The Drink It then Sink It program encourages students to recycle their plastic milk bottles, along with other recyclable plastic bottles and cans in marked recycling bins placed around the cafeteria.
