Where Does Milk Come From?

Ever wonder where your milk comes from? Many times, people are quick to respond that it “comes from the grocery store.” And while this answer is not incorrect, the milk that Floridians enjoy has a story behind it that starts before it reaches the store. Florida has a thriving dairy industry that makes it possible for people to enjoy a fresh supply of milk.

Yet, these farmers often produce milk in agricultural parts of the state that many consumers never see. But our Florida dairy farms are far from faceless corporations. Our farms are family owned and operated and it’s not uncommon to see different generations working alongside each other every day to keep the milk flowing.
