Ingredients
- ½ cup stout beer
- 1 cup milk
- ¾ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt/ pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Assorted items to dip:
- Bread chunks
- Sliced apples
- Sliced pears
- Carrots
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Celery sticks
Preparation
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium high heat.
- Stir in the flour to make a paste.
- Stir in the beer and continue to stir.
- Add the milk and cook until it thickens.
- Mix in the cheese and mustard and combine until cheese melts and mixture is smooth.
