Vet Talk with a Dairy Vet: Antibiotics
Dr. Meghan Austin is a second-generation Florida dairy farmer and large animal Veterinarian in Marianna, Florida. Her and her husband Brad Austin, operate Cindale Farms in the panhandle of Florida, home to about 300 dairy cows.
Megan received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Large Animal Medicine from the University of Florida before returning to the farm to work as both a dairy farmer and Veterinarian. In this episode of 'Vet Talk with a Dairy Vet', Meghan talks about the reason behind why antibiotics are used and how dairy farmers and veterinarians work together to ensure that all milk is antibiotic free before it leaves the farm.
