Below are our in-school nutrition and physical activity programs that help you improve your school wellness while engaging students in fun ways. Learn how to get involved and find resources in order to apply for grants.
Adopt a Cow
How about adopting a 1,500-pound dairy cow for YOUR classroom? Throughout the Adopt a Cow program, you’ll find out what the cow’s name is, when her birthday is, where she lives and how the farmer takes care of her. You will also receive photos of the cow, activity sheets for the students, a PowerPoint full of information and photos, and a suggested lesson that follows Common CORE standards!
Immersive STEM Professional Development
The Dairy Council of Florida strives to provide science teachers with more resources and opportunities to connect dairy to STEM lessons. Through our Immersive STEM Professional Development and with the help of Florida school districts, high school teachers are encouraged to sign up for a full day of professional development which includes a hands-on dairy genetics lab training followed by a dairy farm tour. The goal is to tie the lab they do in the classroom to what they see at the farm. Each teacher is also given a complete lab kit to use in their classroom with their students. FuelUp
Fuel Up, an initiative created by America’s Dairy Farmers, focuses on helping educators and students fuel wellness in the areas that matter most, like being mindful and staying healthy. Our educational resources, partnerships and grant/funding opportunities aim to broaden access to good nutrition and overall wellness. Since its inception, the NFL FLAG-in-Schools program has been providing much-needed turnkey physical activity resources to schools.

AdVenture Capital ("AdCap") is a program of GenYouth that inspires, empowers, and motivates creative, curious, and brave student entrepreneurs who wish to make changes in school and community health and wellness.
