Golden halloumi cheese fries cooked in the air fryer and finished with honey, fresh mint, and pistachios for a sweet-and-savory appetizer inspired by Middle Eastern flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) packages halloumi cheese 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 2 tbsp honey 
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp pistachios, finely chopped 
  • 1 tsp lemon zest 
  • Freshly ground black pepper 

Preparation

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F. 
  2. Cut halloumi into fry-sized sticks and lightly toss with olive oil. 
  3. Arrange halloumi in a single layer in the air fryer basket. 
  4. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the edges. 
  5. Transfer to a serving platter. 
  6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh mint, pistachios, lemon zest,and black pepper. 
  7. Serve immediately while warm.
