Ingredients
Kid-Friendly Chocolate Protein Milkshake
- 1 ripe banana (fresh or frozen)
- 1 1⁄2 cups whole milk
- 2 pitted Medjool dates
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened sunflower seed butter (or peanut butter)
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 cup ice (optional, for a colder/thicker shake)
Iced Café con Leche
- 1⁄2 cup freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee
- 1 cup whole milk
- Ice (enough to fill the glass)
- Sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, or a sugar substitute)
Preparation
Kid-Friendly Chocolate Protein Milkshake
- If your dates are firm, soak them in warm water for 5–10 minutes to soften. Drain before using.
- In a blender, combine the banana, milk, dates, sunflower seed butter, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Add ice if using.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into cups and serve immediately. Optional: top with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or a few banana slices.
Iced Café con Leche
- Brew your espresso or strong coffee and allow it to cool slightly (or brew directly over ice to chill faster).
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Pour the coffee over the ice.
- Add the milk and stir well.
- Sweeten to taste, if desired.
- Serve with a straw or spoon for stirring.
