Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk (low fat)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- fresh assorted fruits, for serving
For the vanilla yogurt sauce:
- 6 ounces vanilla Greek yogurt (nonfat)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons half and half (or milk)
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the flours, baking powder, and sugar.
- Add the milk, egg, oil, and extract and stir to combine.
- Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.
For vanilla mix:
- Mix the yogurt, honey, and half and half together until smooth.
- Pour over waffles and top with fresh fruit.
