Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8–10 María cookies, roughly crushed
  • ½ cup guava marmalade, plus more for topping

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy whipping cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until thick and creamy.
  3. During the last few minutes of churning, add the crushed María cookies.
  4. Transfer half of the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and add spoonfuls of guava marmalade throughout.
  5. Add the remaining ice cream, more guava marmalade, and a few extra crushed María cookies.
  6. Gently swirl everything together, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  7. Scoop and finish with extra María cookie crumbles and a little guava marmalade on top.
