Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mango diced
  • 1 cup coconut jelly (nata de coco)
  • 1 cup sago pearls (tapioca pearls)
  •  3⁄4 cup mango kefir or drinkable mango yogurt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes (small cubes work better)

Preparation

  1. Prepare the sago pearls by following package directions. This typically consists of boiling the pearls for 10-12 minutes, remove from stove and let them sit for 10 minutes (while covered), then drain and rinse under cold water until no longer sticky.
  2. In a mixing bowl add diced mangos, coconut jelly, cooked sago pearls, mango kefir, and milk.
  3. Mix until evenly distributed.
  4. Add ice cubes and mix.
  5. Pour/ladle the cup of your choice and enjoy!!

Notes:

  • Most ingredients can be found at your local Asian market.
  • The sago/tapioca pearls are usually sold dehydrated, which is why package instructions must be followed.
  • If you wish to make sweeter, add 1⁄3 cup of sweetened condensed milk.
