Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 pound steak tips
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 onion, sliced thin
  • 4 ounces baby Portobello mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or 1 clove minced fresh garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh pepper

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, over medium high heat, sauté the onions and mushrooms in the butter until tender
  2. Add the steak and cook for 3-6 minutes, stirring frequently
  3. Remove the steak, and set aside
  4. Add the flour and stir to make a paste
  5. Slowly add in the milk and continue to cook until sauce thickens.
  6. Stir in the seasonings
  7. Salt to taste

To serve:

  1. Place steak tips on bed of buttered noodles
  2. Pour sauce over steak and noodles
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley.
